A new gallery called «anakkale Savaşları Galerisi (Battles of «anakkale Gallery), containing equipment used by Turkish, British and ANZAC soldiers during the «anakkale land and sea battles, opened over the weekend in «anakkale.

The historic treasures held in the gallery are of special interest to Ahmet Uslu, a historian and a resident of «anakkale.

Uslu has earned his living through a variety of business ventures and all the while continued to collect war memorabilia. In time, his collection numbered 6,000 pieces, and as a result he decided to open a gallery to share his collage of this moment in history with the public.

Mayor GŲkhan, during a speech he gave at the opening, stated that the gallery would shed light on the details of the battles of «anakkale and added, Each piece in this gallery is rare and has its own story.

The gallery is open every day. Entrance for adults is YTL 1, while students will be able to view the exhibit for only 50 kurush.
